Defrosta is designed for use in urea-based selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems by improving their frost resistance and operational reliability. Defrosta ensures efficient SCR system performance down to approximately -30 °C.
Defrosta
Defrosta, a frost-proof SCR-reductant, is an additive for urea systems to improve its frost resistance.
Defrosta improves SCR performance to work in temperatures as low as minus 30°C. As the temperature drops in the autumn urea can be replaced with Defrosta to improve efficient system operation without freezing problems.
Defrosta contains the same amount of active ammonia as in conventional urea products.
Applications include:
• Heavy-duty trucks and buses
• Delivery cars and other diesel engines
• Off road vehicles and machinery
• Diesel engines of cruisers and ships
• Industrial processes
The product is intended for professional use only.
If the SCR system includes a quality sensor that measures the properties of the product, its compatibility with Defrosta must be verified. A quality sensor malfunction may prevent the vehicle/machine from being operated. The sensors of the SCR system can be checked, for example, at the nearest service shop.
